Some of My Favorite Bible Verses:
Mark, 16:15 , Living BibleAnd then he told them, “You are to go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone, everywhere. 16 Those who believe and are baptized will be saved. But those who refuse to believe will be condemned.
17 “And those who believe shall use my authority to cast out demons, and they shall speak new languages.[c] 18 They will be able even to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them; and they will be able to place their hands on the sick and heal them.”
19 When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down at God’s right hand.
20 And the disciples went everywhere preaching, and the Lord was with them and confirmed what they said by the miracles that followed their messages.
Over the years, these verses have been my battle cry. I have spent hours praying in the Holy Spirit in other tongues, I have cast our demons wherever they have reared up their ugly presences, I have laid hands upon the sick and seen them recover, and have even had the Lord heal me when I drank some bad water. I do not look for serpants to handle, but I love to baptize people in water when they come to Jesus, and I love preaching, and stand in awe and wonder, as I review in my mind, the tremendous signs, wonders, and miracles that Jesus has performed for me, as I He has honored His Word, with signs following. I could probably write a book on healing, deliverance, or adventures in the Holy Spirit as I have prayed extended periods of time in other tongues, but quite frankly, I am too busy living these verses, to take time to write about how God is regularily demonstrating them in my life, and yours!
Father, I come to you today, asking for opportunities to proclaim the indeed, Jesus has risen from the dead, and He is Lord! Everywhere I go, may I live, speak, and walk in Your demonstrated power, authority, signs, wonders and miracles, today, and every day You give me in the earth, in Your name I pray Lord Jesus, Amen!’
