Visions of Glory
Acts 10:19 (KJV)
“While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.”
Have you ever received a genuine vision from God—one you didn’t fully understand or that seemed far beyond your current ability to fulfill?
That’s exactly where I find myself right now. I’ve received a vision from heaven for my life—one that spans many nations, peoples, and ministries. It’s clearly revolutionary and promises to bring extraordinary grace, power, and blessing to the earth in this generation.
As I daily seek the Lord and reflect on this vision, the Holy Spirit speaks.
When He speaks, it’s often with pinpoint accuracy—direct, bold, and well beyond my comfort zone. Yet it’s always something I can act on immediately.
Imagine crying out to God, asking Him to reveal His power in your life and to use you in miracles and spiritual gifts. Then He responds:
“Go, spit on the ground, make some mud, and put it in that blind man’s eyes.”
Really? That would stretch anyone!
Yet Jesus, operating as a man anointed by the Holy Spirit and perfectly guided by the Father’s voice, did exactly that:
John 9:6 (KJV)
“When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay.”
And what about this instruction?
“Spit in the man’s face, and he will be healed!”
How would you respond to a word like that?
Mark 8:23 (KJV)
“And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought.”
I once heard a minister testify that God had used him to raise over 200 people from the dead. Some of the things God asked him to do—particularly in fasting and prayer—were extreme. One example: a 9-month fast where he ate only 3 days per week and fasted the other four.
A more traditional Christian told him, “You’re out of your mind!”
His reply still makes me smile:
“No, I’m not—I’m just out of yours. I’m over in the mind of Christ.”
Have you ever taken an extended time of prayer and fasting to truly hear why God created you? To receive His specific vision and plan for your life?
If you’ve genuinely heard His voice and written down what He said, you may better understand the plaque Oral Roberts kept on his desk:
“Make no little plans here.”
Indeed, Brother Oral’s obedience continues to shape nations, as Christian leaders trained through his ministry take what they’ve learned to the ends of the earth.
When God speaks, it’s often so far beyond what we can ask or imagine that it sets us on a path requiring daily, faith-filled, courageous steps. It leads us from faith to faith, strength to strength, and glory to glory.
Here’s a powerful story worth repeating:
“It started like so many evenings. Mom and Dad were at home, and little Jimmy was playing after dinner. Absorbed in their own tasks, they didn’t notice how late it had gotten. A full moon shone through the windows. Then Mom looked at the clock and said, ‘Jimmy, it’s time for bed. Go on up, and I’ll come settle you later.’
Unlike usual, Jimmy went straight to his room. An hour later, his mother came to check on him and found him quietly gazing out his window at the moonlit sky.
‘What are you doing, Jimmy?’ she asked.
‘Looking at the moon, Mommy,’ he replied.
‘Well, it’s time to go to bed now,’ she said. As he lay down, he whispered, ‘Mommy, you know what? One day I’m going to walk on the moon.’
Who could have imagined that dream, planted in a young boy’s heart, would endure a near-fatal motorcycle crash that broke nearly every bone in his body—and come to pass 32 years later? That boy, James Irwin, would go on to walk on the moon, one of only 12 humans to do so.”

Let’s Pray
Father, show me once again Your glory and the purpose for which You created me. I believe my steps are ordered by You, and that You will speak to me specifically about the acts of obedience required to walk in that purpose. I seek You, Lord Jesus, and I believe I receive the hearing of Your voice—for You promised You would speak to me today. Amen.
After God answers, take time to write it down!
