Cedar - Worship and Royalty

Cedar – Royalty and Worship
Le 14:6 As for the living bird, he shall take it, and the cedar wood, and the scarlet, and the hyssop, and shall dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water
1Ki 5:10 So Hiram gave Solomon cedar trees and fir trees according to all his desire.
1Ki 6:9 So he built the house, and finished it; and covered the house with beams and boards of cedar.
1Ki 7:12 And the great court round about was with three rows of hewed stones, and a row of cedar beams, both for the inner court of the house of the LORD, and for the porch of the house.
IF you do a simple word search on the word cedar in the Bible, you discover, without much in depth study, 46 verses.
Cedar was the wood chosen by God, and ordained as part of holy worship, it was used in the construction of the temple, and it was used to build Solomon’s palace.
It is the wood of royalty and worship…
Rev 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

As we prepare our sacrifice before God, to be offered this summer upon the soil of the Navajo nation, cedar seems to be the most fitting wood, red and white blended together by God into a beautiful tapestry of reconciliation, aromatic, like a sweet incense before His throne…
Jesus, may you receive the reward of Your suffering, and may this simple offering put a smile upon Your face…We worship You!
