Conspiracy and Treachery! Absalom!

Conspiracy and Treachery! Absalom!

May 29th, 2014

2 Sam 14:14 For we must needs die, and are as water spilt on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again; neither doth God respect any person: yet doth he devise means, that his banished be not expelled from him.

15:6 And on this manner did Absalom to all Israel that came to the king for judgment: so Absalom stole the hearts of the men of Israel.

12 And Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David’s counsellor, from his city, even from Giloh, while he offered sacrifices. And the conspiracy was strong; for the people increased continually with Absalom.

As we read today, we read of Absalom. We see his heart of conspiracy and treachery towards David. David spared his life, and loved him, seeking to restore him, but Absalom would not. He appeared reconciled, but in his heart, he committed treachery and rebellion towards the throne.

How many Christians I have met in business and ministry that are this way! I forgive them their wickedness, God forgives them, yet in their heart, they have not repented of not only their actions, but their murderous, treacherous intentions…These cause much damage to the kingdom, and legitimate leadership. God protect us from the spirit of treachery, this Absalom spirit in the earth, and in our lives…

Let’s pray:
‘Father, we pray for every legitimate authority in our lives. May we love, honor, respect, submit to, and bless their leadership, as we carefully, with our words and deeds, touch not your anointed, determined to do nothing out of order, or Your timing. Purify our hearts, minds, words, and deeds to walk holy before you, delivered and protected from treacherous people. In Your name I pray Lord Jesus, Amen’

2 Samuel 14:1-15:22, John 18:1-24, Psalm 119:97-112, Proverbs 16:8-9 are today’s readings!

Do you know Jesus?
The world is full of religions, various practices where we work, and work, hoping and praying that we will reach and somehow please a holy God.
Religion is man’s attempt to reach God, JESUS is God’s attempt to reach man.
HE CAME, the helpless baby at Christmas we celebrate, God the Son.
HE LIVED a sinless life, performing mighty miracles in His earthly ministry: the blind see, the lame walk, the deaf hear, and demonic powers are broken by Him, and His kingdom!
HE DIED upon the cross, taking willingly upon this alter, the sin of all mankind, yours, and mine included. Yet, it is impossible for an innocent man to remain dead, and on the third day:
HE ROSE from the dead! He is alive!
Finally, after appearing to many, with over five hundred eyewitnesses, He ascended back into heaven, where He presently sits at the right hand of Father God:
HE REIGNS!
Dogs bark, birds chirp, cows moo, and sinners sin: Except a man be born again, he cannot even see the kingdom of God. Jesus did not come to make bad people good, or good people better, rather dead people alive. We must be born again. When we receive Jesus into our hearts, a miracle occurs: old things are gone, all things become new, we literally become new creations in God, our bodies become temples of the Holy Spirit, and we receive royal rights and privilege before the throne of God, as sons and daughters of the most high God.
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Each day, we seek first the kingdom of God, and this post is designed to encourage you to read through your Bible, daily, each year, seeking to meet with Him!

Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Joh 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Each day, as we read, we must meet with Him, for He is life!

Knowing Him, is the difference between heaven and hell, healing and sickness, heartbreak or peace, success or failure…

Today, give Him your life, for He is King of the universe. Only God, your Creator, the One who flung the universe into being, is big enough to fully understand the complexity of who you really are, powerful enough to literally recreate your life from all its drama’s and tragedies, and loving enough to heal your deepest pain. He knows you, and He cares…
The question is: Do you know Him?

Ac 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Call on Him today! He knows you, and He loves you! He will speak to you and give you direction, purpose, and peace!

Ro 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Let’s pray!
“Father God in heaven, I come to you now, and ask that You would forgive me. I choose to believe, that You raised Jesus from the dead, and Lord Jesus, I receive You now. Please come into my life, and fill me with Your presence, plan, and purpose, that I am created to live. Fill me with Your love, and may I obey, and love all those You place in my path, Amen.”
