Whose voice are you listening to?

1 Corinthians 14:10

Then there can come the voice of angels, messengers of God from heaven into the earth, yet there is One that promises to speak, One that is gentle, kind, loving, and the only one that must be obeyed.

21 Satan rose up against Israel and caused David to take a census of the people of Israel. ² So David said to Joab and the commanders of the army, “Take a census of all the people of Israel—from Beersheba in the south to Dan in the north—and bring me a report so I may know how many there are.”

³ But Joab replied, “May the Lord increase the number of his people a hundred times over! But why, my lord the king, do you want to do this? Are they not all your servants? Why must you cause Israel to sin?”

So we see, David listening to another voice…

Obeying that voice brought great destruction to Israel…

Much can be said, and I have written much along these lines, but today, I’m asking, if you will, for the privilege of praying with you, for your heart, to hear Him, accurately…

Let’s Pray:

‘Father, there have been seasons of great, passionate pursuit of Your will and calling upon my life, but today, I would ask that again You might speak to me again, clearly, accurately. Deliver me from the will of devils and people who fight to thwart Your will for my life, may my heart again burn with passion for You and Your Kingdom. I ask this, knowing I am heard and answered, for I ask in Your name Lord Jesus. Amen’

Ex 30:¹¹ And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, ¹² When thou takest the sum of the children of Israel after their number, then shall they give every man a ransom for his soul unto the Lord, when thou numberest them; that there be no plague among them, when thou numberest them.
