You Can't Go Back!

You Can’t Go Back!

A.W. Tozer says that people who are crucified with Christ have three distinct marks:
1. they are facing only one direction,
2. they can never turn back, and
3. they no longer have plans of their own.
Tim Hansel, Holy Sweat, 1987, Word Books Publisher, p. 187.

Luke 9:62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

The call of God is always forward. You cannot go back!

Peter T. Forsythe was right when he said, “The first duty of every soul is to find not its freedom but its Master”.
Warren W. Wiersbe, The Integrity Crisis, Thomas Nelson Publishers, 1991, p. 22.

Once Jesus has called you, there is only one destination, heaven, and He always leading forward.

Reminds me of that old hymn, “I have decided, to follow Jesus, no turning back, no turning back”

Even the more modern Hillsong, (seems old now too), “One Way, Jesus” echos the same theme. Jesus is alive, He is the way, the waymaker, and He is leading: FORWARD!

I have no idea where you have been camped spiritually, but it is time to get up and get on with it again. The cloud is moving, and we need to move too…

Let’s pray:
“Father, I’m here, back on track with you. Show me the next step and season of my life, and give me strength, and courage to step up and walk in it, in your name I pray Lord Jesus, Amen”
