Morality Produces Prosperity!

Morality Produces Prosperity!

Some time ago, I read a famous book entitled: ‘As a Man Thinketh’ by James Allen.

I quote:

It is popularly supposed that a greater prosperity for individuals and nations can only come through political and social reconstruction. This cannot be true apart from the practice of the moral virtues in the individuals that comprise a nation. Better laws and social conditions will always follow a higher realization of morality among the individuals of a community, but no legal enactment can give prosperity to, nay, it cannot prevent the ruin of, a man or a nation that has become lax and decadent in the pursuit and practice of virtue.
The moral virtues are the foundation and support of prosperity as they are the soul of greatness. They endure forever, and all the works of man which endure are built upon them. Without them there is neither strength, stability, nor substantial reality, but only ephemeral dreams. To find moral principals is to have found prosperity, greatness, truth, and is therefore to be strong, valiant, joyful and free.
James Allen ‘Excerpt from As a Man Thinketh’ Bryngolen, Ilfracombe, England

As I read this quote, I am reminded of the verse we all quote at election time:

Pro_14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
righteousness exalts
Regarding the moral man:
Psa_37:6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

I guess, I wonder how many of us fight to do right, daily, in the little battles, as we love our families teach our children, and walk forward in truth without compromise.
stand firm
Let’s Pray:
‘Father, help me to do right, before you today, for the right reasons, setting an example of honesty, integrity, holiness, and true righteousness before my family today, that I can be one of the pillars of truth, you rebuild this nation on today, in Your name I pray, Lord Jesus, Amen!’
