Speak, and He will Appear!

Speak, and He will Appear!

Speak the Word!
2Ti 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
Lu 12:42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?
Today, as I read I see Jesus on the road to Emmaeus…
Luke 24: 25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
Sure we who have been in the way, this walk of faith for many years, know the Emmaus road experience, how Jesus hid Himself to a couple of his disciples, and walked with them, and finally, at communion, the breaking of the bread, was revealed.
As I read, I see something different, that greatly encourages my soul. Perhaps you more seasoned saints know this already, but it is alive to me.
I picture the disciples totally shattered. They had walked and talked with Jesus for years, and they thought they knew Him. He had told them that He would suffer and die, and be raised on the third day, but there is the very human part of all this. They saw Him brutally beaten, whipped, bloody, and dead upon the cross.
They could see the awesome power of Rome, the immensity of the Jewish temple, with it’s reportedly impregnable authority structure. They had run for their lives in the night, and probably still wondered if soldiers would come for them at some point, to perhaps face the same fate as Jesus.
They had wanted to believe in a Savior, a deliverer, a conquering King, and they had seen, with their own eyes the love, the compassion, and the mighty acts of God’s power demonstrated through Jesus, yet now He was dead, and so was their dream.
The dark place of despair, where your faith seems violated, beyond repair….
Been there….
Shattered, cored out, poured out, having given my all to the Lord, and His calling, and seemingly fallen short.
In that place, like these very disciples, found myself muttering what I believed, testifying of the greatness of God that I have seen in the past, yet in my soul, my emotions, desolate…I was walking out the faith I knew, yet it did not appear to be enough to carry me through the day of my trial….
Isa 48:11 For mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it: for how should my name be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another.
Yet, the call of God will never rest upon the strength of the flesh or will of man…
Jesus appeared, veiled, hidden to them, and what did He do?
He rebuked their unbelief, and taught them the Word. He began in the beginning, and line upon line, He ministered to them faith!
He could have showed up in a cloud of glory, stopped a storm, and appeared with the host of heaven, in a blaze of glory and declared: ‘I am the One that You seek!’
Yet, this not the kingdom way…
It is only faith that pleases the heart of God, and faith still only comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God….
Jesus taught them the Word, then when He was convinced that they had been established in heart, only then did He reveal Himself.
32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
Man of God, Woman of faith, mighty instrument of the most High, hear me today…
Apart from Him, we are nothing, yet in Him, we become like Him, and perform signs, wonders, miracles and mighty acts of power, as our ministry gifts, offices, and authority are revealed by heaven, in anointing, glory, and miracles…
Yet, today, for you precious one, there is an Emmaus walk prepared…
He has drawn near to you, in His Word, to whisper what only He can give…
The words of life, encouragement, exhortation, comfort, affirmation, direction, revelation, strength, healing….
For me, I have learned to embrace this holy process daily, or more correctly, nightly, as I listen to the audio Bible all night, and this morning, for several more hours, as I stand against some symptoms in my Body….
Yet these disciples heard in their hearts, Jesus was revealed to them, and then they spoke their faith:
34 Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.
When they believed and spoke:
Jesus appeared!
36 ¶ And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
He ever watches over His Word to perform it! Why we confess the Word each day, establishing His kingdom in our lives, with our Words!
I am no stranger to solitude, silence, knowing full well the glory revealed, strength imparted, power displayed, when He speaks to me as only He can, deeply, truthfully, intimately….
38 And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
He answers our fears, our weariness, troubles, our deepest questions of heart, with understanding granted, comfort from the Word…

You have watered, now it is your turn to receive the living waters of heaven…..
Let’s Pray:
‘Jesus, my Lord, my Shepherd, My King, I need You today. I’m tired, weary , poured out, cored out, needing what only You can give…Speak to me again, give me understanding and the strength, to move forward in Your call and commission, Amen’
