Heavenly Treasure Hunt!

Heavenly Treasure Hunt!

Testimony:
On Saturday night at cell group with Steve and Terri Spanish, pastors Stephen and Pearl Loi shared about a fresh revelation and anointing they had received on divine healing and miracles at a seminar with Randy Clark and Bill Johnson. He called it ‘treasure hunting for miracles’, and it is much fun to play.
There is a whole teaching on it, but to make a long story short, all you do, is have your family each go in a separate room and seek Jesus, and ask Him “where would You like to do miracles today?”
He then give words of knowledge, pictures, and even names of people and their ailments, and our job is to correct decipher what He is saying, and to go to the place He shows us, find the person that He wants to heal, then boldly approach them, and ask to pray for them, and watch them get healed.
So, we did that on Sunday morning before attending service at Victory. We prayed: ‘Father, show us where and who You want to do miracles with today.’
At first, it didn’t seem like He answered right away, as we were scurrying around getting ready to get our the door for Sunday school.
When we got to ‘the donut door’ (this is the door by the VCS entrance at Victory where we enter for Sunday school, where we have Sunday breakfast eating the wonderful bagels, coffee, and orange juice provided by the Victory Sunday School program). As I was reaching for my orange juice, I felt a sharp pain in my lower back.
Suddenly, I remembered what we had prayed, and wondered if Holy Spirit might be alerting me to someone around us with a lower back injury. So, I asked, the small crowd of Sunday school people there, ‘Hey, does anyone here have an injury in their lower back?” Sure enough, the man standing right next to me declared that he had wrecked his back from years of construction work as a frame carpenter, and my heart went out to him. Having worked construction for many years, let’s just say it is not the easiest way to make a living…
So, I simply prayed for him, to be healed in the name of Jesus, and all pain left his back!
Been thinking today about how many miracles we don’t see, each day, simply because we do not ask our Father for them.
I believe this kind of ‘treasure hunting’ brings Him great glory, because the Bible clearly declares:
Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
I love this game, for it is beautifully relational, and full of faith and intimacy with Jesus. We seek Him, and He reveals what He wants to do, yet we need to walk out what we believe He has shown us, in childlike faith and obedience, to find the treasure: His wonder-working power, glorifying His name, as He, in love, mercy, and compassion, heals the sick, and does what no man can do.
John 14:12
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
God cannot lie. These are the very words of Jesus! There are great and mighty miracles to be worked, wrought in the earth,
John 5:20
For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.
Yes, our Father loves my Lord Jesus, but He loves me too! Jesus is in heaven, I am in the earth! He is with me, by Holy Spirit, having granting me His authority and having created a perfect, beautiful relationship with me, and for me, with our heavenly Father, and my Father longs to show me greater works, that I, and you here that would serve Him, might marvel!
John 5:36
But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.
Suddenly, these verses are again alive, as I see myself in them. Watch my life, and see, for I too have greater witness than John, and clearly I see heavenly works to be done, that will bear witness of me, my office, my calling, that the Father has sent me, and that Jesus is my Lord, Shepherd, and King!
I remember one of my mentors, Rev. Jim Hockaday, at Rhema Bible Training Center, many years ago, in prayer and healing school when he proclaimed: ‘I am like a heavenly hound dog. There are miracles in this room, and I’m going to sniff them out, and see the greater works of God, in my life, today!’
Truly, it is a fun, exciting, life-giving way to do life!
Who will join me in it?
If you need a miracle, let’s pray:
‘Father, there is no time or distance in prayer, and you said that if any two or more of us, as touching anything in prayer, here, in the earth, that You would do it! I choose, in simple childlike faith, to believe that today, and Father, I set myself in agreement, in the fullness of the authority and anointing in this five-fold ministry office upon my life, for their miracle, healing, deliverance, and breakthrough, now! I believe you are recreating that which is missing, broken, damaged, unhealable by medical science, NOW, for I ask and believe, in Your precious name Lord Jesus, Amen!’
Now, perhaps, you would join me today, on this particular heavenly treasure hunt, in hungering, searching out, seeking, the gifts Holy Spirit longs to display in the earth, not as a spectator, but as a participant. God will use you, if you ask Him!
Let’s ask Him:
Father, today I want to walk fully in the good works you have for me to walk in. I believe there are signs, wonders, miracles, and greater works than even Jesus did, available for me to do, if I would simply ask You, and believe. So, Father, here I am, asking! Please Father, show me Your works, Your power, Your love, use me, today, I pray, Amen.’
