Revelation vs Intellect

Revelation vs Intellect

Sometimes things said in the heat of passion, need to meet the cold hard light of reality. Actions produce reactions, truth has consequences, and then one is left with the question: What is God saying about this? In the quietness of solitude, His voice gently breaks upon our heart, and confirms what we knew all along, but had not thought through yet, and our correct response needs to be like Mary, “be unto your servant according to your word, O Lord.”, for the natural mind cannot really comprehend, when God speaks outside of the box. Yet, with our heart, we know Him, and we can believe, and ponder those things in our heart, and gently watch as He brings them to pass.. This is where faith meets the intimacy of the Holy Spirit, and deep calls unto deep, as He reveals things above and beyond what we can ask or think.

Yesterday, we were faced with the fact that everything we owned had been vandalized or stolen. Yet, today, I have heard His voice, and know what steps to take next.

Today, I pray we hear His voice. Though we may be facing circumstances that look insane to our natural minds, there is a God far above it all, well able to make life happen.

Let’s Pray:

‘Father, speak to me. Cause me to hear Your voice, your direction, your purpose for my life. Bring me Your peace, in my particular storm, and make a way, where there seems to be no way. In Your name I pray Lord Jesus, Amen.’
