Power in Unity!

Let’s Read:
Ps 133:1 ¶ «A Song of degrees of David.» Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;
3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.
Seems that unity in the Body of Christ, where brethren dwell together in love and peace, produces spiritual power in the earth.
Several years ago, in a revival meeting in Toronto, in what is now known as ‘The Toronto Blessing’, a minister got up and read these verses, and proclaimed that they had a vision that he believed was from God. In the picture in his mind, he saw huge hydro electric towers and electric power generating plants, operating on their own networks distributing power. In his vision, he saw people, electricians, workman, laying huge power-cords between these power sources, and that the networks generated drew huge reservoirs from the power sources, that were presently untapped. He then proclaimed that these workmen, were ministries in the Body of Christ, ‘nameless, faceless, bridge-builders in the Body of Christ, that would build relational bridges between denominations, ministries, and different anointings in the kingdom, and that as these ‘power cords’ were laid in the Spirit, there was a huge, multiplied effect in the power of God generated in the earth. That this power in unity, would produce signs, wonders, miracles, prosperity, and great increase, as there God Almighty commands His blessing.’
Eph 4:16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
Here we see the Body of Christ, flowing in unity. Each of us, doing our part, causing the body to edify itself in love, causes increase.
This is true evangelism, where the commanded blessing of God, the anointing produces ‘life forevermore’ as the psalmist states.
What kind of increase? Increase of the kingdom of God! Financial Increase, Increase of people, increase of demonstrated spiritual power, increase of strength and health, all occurring through unity!
Has it ever occurred to you that one hundred pianos all tuned to the same fork are automatically tuned to each other? They are of one accord by being tuned, not to each other, but to another standard to which each one must individually bow. So one hundred worshipers [meeting] together, each one looking away to Christ, are in heart nearer to each other than they could possibly be, were they to become ‘unity’ conscious and turn their eyes away from God to strive for closer fellowship.

This is why the fruit of wisdom is always peace:
James 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
But Chris, how is this going to grow my church, my business, my family?
When we, as leaders, create an environment of love and peace in our homes, churches, and places of work, we allow place for everyone to flow in their particular gift and calling.
Every joint supplies, giving freely their service to the King, and as we each do our part, everything flourishes and grows.
The psalmist compares this to the oil on Aaron’s beard, and that oil was the oil of anointing, for prophets, priests and kings were anointed in the Old Testament, set apart for service to God. This is a shadow and type of the actual anointing manifest in us in the New Testament, for Jesus is called Jesus Christ, the word Christ simply meaning ‘the anointed one’. Christians then, are simply ‘anointed one’s’.
Notice, this does not mean that we must agree 100% on practice of worship, tradition, end time theology, or practice within our individual Christian communities:

Someone asked me once, how I, a Bible believing Christian, could have fellowship with certain denominational ministers. I replied that my eyes are on Jesus, and it is kind of like climbing a mountain, where He is at the top. There may be others climbing the same mountain, but from the other side, where I can’t see them yet, doctrinally, but if we all keep our eyes on Jesus, we are climbing the same mountain, and by His grace, headed to the same heaven.
What is the anointing? It is the presence of God that meets every need in the earth, burden removing, yoke destroying power in the earth.

It is the life and power of God, manifest in the earth, and it manifests only through you and I. It is the place of commanded blessing, the psalmist speaks about.
So, now you know why God hates those who sow discord among the brethren. Strife, gossip, hatred, rebellion, are antichrist spirits, against the anointing, against the commanded blessing of God.
So, we grow in grace, peace, and love, and as we do, the power of God destroys every enemy in our life, and causes us to increase.
Let’s Pray:
“Father, please show me the area’s where I am out of sync with your Body, and any way that I cause strife, discord, or am against you and your Spirit: please realign me, and help me to adjust, repent, humble myself, and serve and create places for others to serve along with me, that we might see the fullness of your commanded blessing in our families, churches, and places of work, and our governments. Show us your power Father, today, in signs, wonders, and mighty miracles, as you bring the increase we have prayed for. Any way I can bring peace, healing, and unity between myself and other organizations, use me as a bridge builder in the Body of Christ, and give me wisdom to build, always recognizing the presence of your kingdom in our midst, your invisible yet powerful rule and reign in the earth. Help me to take my responsibility and place, in the fullness of what you have anointed me to do, not shrinking back, but stepping up, and stepping out in faith and service, manifesting your love, courage, and power, in all I do. Use me Holy Spirit, today, in your gifts, for your glory, in your name I pray Lord Jesus, Amen.”
