Ps 14:1 ¶ «To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.» The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
Lu 12:20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
The strength of self will.
People have been given the greatest gift God can give, the ability to choose. Complete and sovreign free will, to decide what they want to do with their lives.
In light of eternity, there are really only two choices we ever make, each day.
Will we handle the day God’s way, come what may, or will we deal with it our way.
We can choose to allow the pressures and pains of life, to continually drive us to the feet of Jesus, finding strength and courage to know what to do, and then ability to do it.
Is 60:15 ¶ Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.
2Co 4:17  For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
We can live victoriously in this life, and receive eternal glory, or we can live for ourselves, and our own selfish agenda, and even if we happen to stumble upon Jesus, and make heaven by His mercy and grace, we arrive there poor, destitute, naked, and ashamed.
Not me!
I will love victoriously, live by faith, and walk obediently to Jesus both in this life, and the next. He is all I need, and His love, grace, strength, power, and wisdom consistantly find me at my point of need, making me an answer and blessing to the problems of this sin sick, broken world.
It is a serious thing…to remember that the dullest and most uninteresting person you can talk to may one day be a creature which, if you saw it now, you would be strongly tempted to worship, or else a horror and a corruption such as you now meet, if at all, only in a nightmare. All day long we are, in some degree, helping each other to one or other of these destinations. It is in the light of these over-whelming possibilities…that we conduct all our dealings with one another, all friendships, all loves, all play, all politics. There are no ordinary people. You have never talked to a mere mortal. Nations, cultures, arts, civilizations—these are mortal, and their life is to ours as the life of a gnat. But it is immortals whom we joke with, work with, marry, snub, and exploit—immortal horrors or everlasting splendors.” C. S. Lewis
Let’s Pray:
‘Father, make my life count for eternity. Use me for your glory, and allow me to serve you, with all I am, never compromising, shrinking back, nor shirking responsibility before your throne, by your grace, and in your mercy I pray Lord Jesus, Amen’'
