Joash and Jehoiada
No Matter how messed up your family is or was, the instruction of the Word of God, can cause you to rise up, do right, and lead for Jesus in this generation!
2 Kings 12:2 2 And Jehoash did that which was right in the sight of the LORD all his days wherein Jehoiada the priest instructed him.
In this potpourri mix of Baal worship, compromise, treachery, treason, and madness, one godly priest, found one godly child, called to be king, and he instructed the boy in the Word of God.
So, the boy served God, and turned a nation back to Him….
Perhaps you didn’t come from the right pedigree, the right family, the right side of the tracks….
There are Jehoiada’s out there, folks who would instruct you in the Word of God, and teach you morality, moral responsibility, and the fear of the Lord.
I have learned this: Education does not make a man great, in fact knowledge at the expense of moral instruction, simply produces intelligent criminals.
The foundation upon which any life, family, community, business, or nation must be built, is integrity, righteousness, honesty, honor, and the fear of the Lord.
When we submit ourselves to the Lordship of Jesus, and fully endeavor to do His will, then we will learn wisdom, and build upon the Rock that cannot be shaken.
Be a Joash today, for God has surely called you to be a king…
